The BR3000 vehicle computer was developed based on the VDV 423. It is a modular system, which can be extended according to customer requirements.
The BR3000 is designed as a compact 19″ module (3HE, 36TE with a basic depth of 170mm) for insertion into a 19″ subrack. The connections to the vehicle and to the radio system are each made via one rear and one front connector.
All input/output lines are galvanically decoupled from the device by optocouplers and connected to the vehicle via shielded connection lines. The frame ground and the cable shielding are connected to the vehicle mass. The serial interfaces (PEI for Tetra radio) are also galvanically decoupled. All input couplers are operated with currents of 10mA.
A GPS/Glonass receiver module is built in. The GPS receiver is designed for simultaneous reception of GPS+GLONASS or GPS+GALILEO GNSS satellites. The correction of: SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, MSAS), QZSS or DGPS(RTCM) are processed. It is a 99-channel receiver. The sensitivity in the navigation mode is: -165dBm.
We use an industry-standard real-time operating system “RTOS32” from the company Ontime (Hamburg). The usage of this operating environment guarantees fast and reproducible reaction times and ensures a high availability of the system. The operating software is written modularly in “C”. The entire software is developed in-house, ensuring fast response times in case of changes or expansions.
